Heavy Hitter:
The Black Series clear lens is the big news! Compatible with 90% of Japanese vehicles with stock halogen or xenon projectors, it is hugely universal.
Black Series:
Named after the projectors they fit. If yours have a black plastic lens frame similar to the one shown in the product pictures; the black series is the way to go for a snap-in upgrade that will vastly improve your light output!
Jap-Spec:
It is very common for many modern Toyota, Lexus, Scion, Subaru, Nissan, and Mazda vehicles with 2.5" factory projectors to come with the projector that's compatible with this Morimoto lens. If you're unsure, feel free to ask! (H7, H11, D2S, and D4S are all common bulb sizes in these projectors)
2) 3" : MAZDA 3 / SONATA
Mazda 3s and Sonatas:
Coincidentally, these lenses work on the 1st-gen Mazda 3 (OEM HID or OEM Halogen, both compatible!) and the 2010-2014 Hyundai Sonata stock projectors. While a retrofit on either vehicle is almost impossible to pull off, a clear lens swap is a sure fire way to improve your lighting.
No Brainer:
Adding a set of clear lenses to your OEM headlights or projector retrofit with OEM projectors should be a "no-brainer". Not only are they an inexpensive upgrade, but they allow the projectors to perform to their maximum potential in every aspect.
Size Matters:
When picking out a pair of clear lenses, it's not about which model is "best" - it's about compatibility. The diameter AND focus height of the lens are both very important. Learn all about fitment and the benefits of clear lenses
3) BI-XENON: MORIMOTO MATCHBOX 2.0
That Fitment:
The Morimoto Matchbox Bi-xenon Projector is the worlds smallest projector that has both low and high beam capabilities. With the threaded mounted shaft and extremely compact size, these go where no projector has gone before! Literally
Performance highlights:
With a pre-installed clear lens and their standard flat cutoff shields, their light output is on par with any other dedicated fog light projector that's this small. Plenty of foreground light and a bonus high beam function make them an excellent addition to any existing retrofit in the main headlights.
Installation Summary:
Regardless of application, it really doesn't get much easier! Just remove the headlight lens, insert the EZ Mount threaded mounting shaft through the pre-existing hole in the back of the reflector, hand-tighten, check rotation, tighten, and re-seal headlights. Minimal cutting will probably be involved, but you'll find the results well worth it!
4) BI-XENON: MORIMOTO MINI D2S 5.0
High Five!
If you’re looking for the ultimate beam pattern boner; it’s really not going to get any better than this folks. Perfectly balanced low beam. Hyper spot high beam. The crispiest ECE style cutoff. Unquestionable OEM-quality…all packed into a projector that’s undeniably easy to install. If we died and went to headlight heaven, the 5.0 would be greeting us at the gate.
Projector-Perfection:
There are other projectors that produce brighter hot spots. There are other projectors that have unholy amounts of width….But no other option creates the perfect balance of width & hotspot lux (aka distance) quite like the 5.0. In order to create the ultimate weapon for driving in the dark, we've baked in best practices from a variety of well-respected OEM and aftermarket projectors.
Distance:
Distance: The hot spot on the new 5.0 bi-xenon is roughly 70% brighter than the already-impressive 4.0 design. While the high beam unloads a lot more volume of light; virtually no additional intensity has been reserved. What that means: You get the maximum benefit from your bulbs & ballasts in low beam mode…where drivers spend 99% of their time. The controlled decrease in intensity from the hyper-hotspot down through the foreground results in a distribution of light that makes driving at night very comfortable & safe. Why? Because too much intensity on the ground too close to the front of your vehicle will make your eyes adjust, compromising your ability to see very far. Science!
